Aussie Extra Fine High Twist Sock

Two plies are twisted tightly together to produce a very soft and springy yarn. This yarn is slightly plumper than our Aussie Extra Fine Sock w/Nylon (which has 4 plies) and just as soft. The 2 plies make the yarn slightly bumpy which helps the strands of yarn hold together against each other making it great for color work and lace work. The thicker strands also help speckles pop even more.

The extra fine merino wool makes this yarn luxuriously soft and bouncy for next to skin comfort. A little nylon is added for extra durability.  It's not just for socks.  It's so soft, you can wear it around your neck, so perfect for garments and accessories.

• 85% Superwash Extrafine Merino (19.5 micron) 15% Nylon Yarn (2/7.2Nm)
• 360m per 100gm for the full skein/393.7 yards each full skein
• Mulesing Free
• Spun in Italy
• Approximately 100 grams/400 meters or 3.5 oz./437 yards
• Recommended needle size 2.5 mm - 4 mm
• Gauge (stockinette) 28 stitches x 36 rows over 10 cm/4 inches on 3.25 mm (US 3) needles

⚜️Hand dyed in Texas in small batches

⚜️Please hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry for best color retention.  Dyes may bleed slightly on initial washing.  Always test your gauge swatch for dyes bleeding when combining colors.
